SEPTIC TANKS, CESSPOOLS AND UNDERGROUND PIPE FITTINGS
For domestic dwellings without mains drainage a septic tank provides a reliable, economic and efficient solution to your sewage disposal needs.
The sewage enters the Septic Tank into a settlement chamber, allowing solid waste (sludge) to sink and liquid to rise to the surface.
The surface liquid makes contact with oxygen and the organic matter starts to breakdown biologically. This liquid still contains sewage but in small enough particles to be carried through the discharge outlet and into the ground (soakaway).
The spherical septic tanks come in three sizes and are suitable for individual domestic dwellings up to a large family house.

Cylindrical septic tanks are also available with capacities from 2,800 to 55,000 litres. The cylindrical tank allows reduced depth excavation in comparison with the same size of spherical tank, offering considerable savings where ground conditions are difficult or where there is a high water table.
Cesspools
A cesspool provides a reliable solution for locations without mains drainage where the discharge of treated effluent is not permissible due to unsuitable ground conditions, or where infrequent or seasonal use, such as a holiday home, would prevent the successful functioning of a treatment plant, for example.
Maintenance
Cesspools are for storage only and their contents have to be emptied at regular intervals by tanker. A ‘high level’ alarm is available for monitoring the cesspool for optimum usage.
Lockable Manhole Cover
For added safety, cesspools can be supplied with a lockable manhole cover.
